Who is eligible to use O-Link?
All individuals that have been registered at a secondary or tertiary education institution. (The app is in a beta phase and jobs are only available in Cape Town. Our expansion plans are laid out and we will be broadening our reach to other provinces soon)
Do I have to create a profile to use the O-Link service?
Yes. Students will be able to browse the available offers without a profile but a profile is required in order to apply to job offers.
Does O-Link guarantee me a job?
No. O-Link gives you access to a wide range of job offers to which you can apply.
What does it cost for Students?
Students can make 2 free applications every day or they can pay:
- R29 to buy 3 further applications which are valid for one week
- R39 to buy 7 further applications which are valid for one week
- R49 to buy unlimited applications which are valid for one month.
How do I change my profile information?
Clicking your profile picture in the top right of your page will take you to the “User Profile” page. Clicking the “Edit” button will allow you to manage your profile information.
What does it mean when an offer says “Interview Required”?
These offers have been posted by Employers who require a physical interview prior to employment. The application and selection process is no different but the end result (blue dot) provides students with an interview as opposed to a job.
How do I know if I have been accepted for a job?
Under your “Current Applications” tab, a yellow dot signals a pending application, a green dot signals provisional acceptance and once the talent has confirmed they are willing to work, a blue dot will signal this confirmed acceptance.
What happens if I forget my password?
On the login screen, simply click the “Forgot Password” button and an email will be sent to you with instructions to reset your password.
Will I get an Employer's contact details?
Once a Student has been confirmed (blue dot) for either a job or an interview, the Student will be able to email the respective Employer under the “My Applications” page.
Why should I use O-Link?
One standardized O-Link CV makes applications to a range of jobs easy. Your O-Link rating will reflect your past performance and give weight to your O-Link CV. The platform is interactive and Students are continuously notified about their application status.
